In 2024, the German championships for the “best” in the SHK trade took place again at GET NORD. The German Championships are part of the German crafts performance competition, the PLW (Practical Performance Competition).
Every year, graduates of craft vocational training fight for national victory in their trade. Many have to assert themselves against the competition at several levels of competition: from the guild, chamber and state level to the national competition for state winners. There is also the opportunity to take part in further competitions such as Euroskills and Worldskills.
The current Federal President has been the patron of the performance competition since 1951.
